My photography will be featured in the social justice exhibition The Empowering at:
ART150 Gallery 150 Bay Street Ste. 265
Jersey City, NJ
(The gallery is located on the 2nd floor, please call ahead to find out about elevator access.)
The show opens on February 6th and will have a physical showing on weekends,
Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4pm, February 6 through March 21, 2021.
Please note due to COVID the show is by appointment only and has a limit of 8 people per hour. Tickets are FREE and you can book your tickets on Eventbrite:
Just incase you cant make it to us, there will be a video walk through and interview with the curator on March 5, 2021. You can register at: www.jcfridays.com

The Empowering a social justice exhibition

The Empowering was born to help us feel more connected to each other, more hopeful and more human. I wanted viewers to feel our history, all of it and every shade – our pain, our darkness and our light. This exhibition depicts the depths of the artist heart, mind, soul and spirit. Art is not always about pretty things. It’s about who we are, what happened to us, and how our lives were affected. My vision and selection process came from Nina Simone’s quote, “An artist duty, as far as I’m concerned, is to reflect the times and that is to me the definition of an artist.” The Empowering is giving voices to those who have been silenced for far too long.
